Why are you passionate about Home From College and why should we hire you?

Having a hard time in being able to find an opportunity after graduating, or even during University is something that a large number of students experience, myself included. Once I discovered Home From College through a video on the social media platform Tik Tok, I was immediately drawn in by how innovative the organization was. Having personally experienced the difficulty of starting a career, I resonated with the mission of H\FC and am enthusiastic about contributing to program. I have first hand experience in coordinating various small scale projects through my extracurricular experiences. Mainly, being the Director of Operation for the Women in STEM club at my university, I was able to hone my organization skills while managing club member details and event participation. I was also able to strengthen my collaboration skills while working with the rest of the exec team to complete our year-end goals. My time was also spent being the Director of Events for the Hip Hop club where I had the opportunity of connecting with various dance instructors for pop-up classes. Allowing me to build my communication skills as well as event planning.

Please share an experience where you managed a project from beginning to end.

I had joined the Anthropology Society club in my last year of University. The clubs president had the idea of creating a murder mystery event that would happen near the end of the year. This event would be larger-scale than our other events, ultimately having 100 students participating. This event required months of slow planning to develop the events theme, story, and characters in a way which students could follow along and play different roles. There was careful planning when it came to event location and any food that we would provide due to the clubs small budget. I had actively participated in managing the logistics of the event from beginning to the successful completion of the event.
