In my life right now, art brings me simple little joys. For example, two weeks ago, I went to Market for Makers where small business owners sell their products to people in Chicago. I bought stickers and a card that this one artist made, and it made me so happy thinking that someone took the time to create this for others to enjoy. Every little decision such as the colors, the shapes, and the words of the stickers and card were intentional so that others would enjoy it. I really enjoy buying jewelry, candles, and stationary from small businesses because it brings me joy that someone handmade something with small details and much care. I notice it also in video games. I really appreciate the work that goes into designing today's video game characters and the effort it takes to include small little details that some people may notice but others may not.
