Tell us about your experience in sales, and why you want to work for our brand to help us grow!

My sales experience comes primarily from my customer-facing role at Morphy Auctions. While it may not be a traditional sales role, there was many aspects of the position that required me to sell clients on the service we provide, as well as maintain relationships to ensure repeated service. Working directly with customers in that capacity allowed me the ability to communicate with high-value clients and coordinate logistics, which strengthened my communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

I want to work for Couture because I enjoy building relationships with clients, as well as the satisfactions of finding a solution that fits their individuals needs. As a member of the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, I am familiar with being in an organization where individuals have to focus on the importance of how they represent the identity of the entire group. Because of this, I realize the importance of quality merchandise and strong customer service in representing the company's identity. I would be very excited to help grow the brand by providing outstanding service, building strong client relationships, and promoting Couture's high quality products.

Describe a time you successfully followed up to close a sale.

While this example may not exactly fit the description of following up to close a sale, I believe you'll see it has a similar correlation. While working for my former company, Morphy Auctions, I was often participating in on-site pickups of antique items. In many cases, clients were hesitant to include of some of their more expensive antiques in the group that was being consigned through auction. Specifically, I remember an older gentlemen in Abilene, Texas who was weary about sending two valuable neon oil stand signs with the rest of his collection. Originally, he had shut down the idea of selling the items through the auction, as he did not want to part with such valuable pieces without first seeing the quality of our service through the rest of his collection. However, through the course of the time I spent talking to him, I was able to reassure the client that his items would be under extreme care and ensured he could trust our company enough to include the two additional signs.

How would you convince a client to choose our merch brand over competitors?

To convince a client to choose Couture over competitors I would focus on highlighting the quality of Couture's merch, the personalized service we provide, and the positive customer experience they can gain from our brand. I would ensure to explain that Couture works with customers across every stage of the ordering process, assisting them with any and every need they may have. I would also be sure to remind the client of Couture's responsiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to making the ordering process a hassle free experience.
