what's an idea for an event at your school?
A great event idea for UCSB is the “Gaucho Creators Social,” a networking and content creation event designed for students interested in social media, marketing, and digital storytelling. The event would feature guest speakers from the influencer and PR industries, hands-on workshops, and live content creation stations with aesthetic backdrops and professional lighting for TikToks and Instagram Reels. Students could participate in interactive challenges, such as a “Best Viral Video” contest, with prizes for the most creative content. Collaborations with local brands and campus organizations would provide giveaways, sponsorships, and networking opportunities, making the event both engaging and beneficial for students looking to grow their digital presence.
