Home From College
Full Time Role: Customer Success Coordinator
Why are you passionate about Home From College and why should we hire you?
As a recent graduate, I've always been passionate about the idea that you can build experience from doing many things at once. As someone, who's university didn't provide a lot of job and marketing experience for Arts students, it was up to us to find ways to gain that experience. When I found Home From College, I was relieved when I saw that it wasn't too late to gain that experience and the best part of all was that it was mobile and incredibly accessible. If I were to be hired, I would bring tenacity and creativity. I consider myself to be an innovator. I bring experience from my background as a Black woman but also a sociology major who's deeply interested in the way the world works. I worked hard in university to maintain a 3.5 GPA and I'm an incredibly organized and efficient person.

Please share an experience where you managed a project from beginning to end.
In my time in university, I was involved in a volunteer organization called Fostering Change. This organization was tasked with raising money for girls' education in Ghana. A part of our goals was to find ways to fundraise the money so I suggested that we hold a bottle drive. I explained how ever component of the bottle drive would go. I had our marketing leader create posters and share information about the bottle drive on social media. I had our president help me in delivering the flyers and also contacting local businesses. We completed the bottle drive successfully and was able to raise over a thousand dollars for our first quarter.
What do you think most brands are doing wrong in regards to their content strategy?
I think that most brands tend to come on to trends too late. Social media is fickle and for brands to stay relevant, it's important to watch for trends and strike while they're still popular
