You don't like the product, how do you proceed with this gig? Who do you notify and what steps do you take?
I would assess & elaborate on what I don't like about the product on my own terms to determine if my concerns were due to my personal preferences or genuinely due to the product. If it was the product itself, I would go into more evaluation to be able to list out the problems I have it whether it's about quality, functionality, etc. I would reach out to the company's contact person or customer support to talk about my concerns, seeing if there is guidance or solutions. If there is a solution, I would retry the product again to give it a fair chance. Even if I still don't like it, I would be specific in explaining what I did & didn't like in an objective manner. I would give constructive criticism politely & professionally, speaking more on the improvement of the product.
