Home From College Profile Image

Why are you passionate about Home From College and why should we hire you?

I am passionate about Home From College because I believe it provides such a unique and innovative way for young adults to put themselves out in the networking world. Through my experience, the platform provides such a distinct opportunity to connect with renowned brands doing jobs unlike any other job board. Home From College is fun and allows you to have a personal identity in a job search world that is mundane and cold-cut. I have connected with brands and people across the nation in a way that would not have been possible without HFC and am passionate about spreading and sharing my experiences with others. I believe I would be a successful candidate due to my experience as a Product Specialist at Apple and an Administrative Assistant at Woodgrain Bagels. Having worked through the scope of the customer experience for over 7 years, I understand the importance of providing customers with easy, innovative, and intuitive experiences. As an Administrative Assistant, I have had the opportunity to communicate and deliver on several aspects of the restaurant’s business including B2B sales and partnerships, advising on product and menu decisions, and improving the customer experience. I am an eager learner and effective communicator, which would allow me to greatly support the Enterprise Account Executive.

Please share an experience where you managed a project from beginning to end.

In my previous role as a Product Specialist at Apple, I managed a project involving the education and communication of a new product education program. This project required meticulous planning, coordination with various departments, and effective communication with the team. I initiated the project by engaging my colleagues in conversations about their confidence in their product knowledge, noticing that many felt as if they were slightly unprepared to converse with customers. We discussed with management that we needed to implement a solution to their concerns. I developed a detailed project plan outlining timelines and resource requirements, concluding that group training would allow the employees to discuss their learnings and understandings, helping each other grow their knowledge. Scheduling and communication were critical components of the project’s success. Coordinating with different departments, I facilitated monthly meetings with the entire product team, aligning the team’s knowledge with the goals and objectives of the product itself. Additionally, I strategically advised on improvements during the project’s lifestyle. This required a deep understanding of both the product and how to communicate its features effectively which allowed me to continuously engage the team and ensure that they were benefitting from the meetings. The experience highlighted my ability to be hyper-organized and communicate effectively and I am confident that my skills in project management, strategic advising, and effective communication align well with the requirements of the Customer Success Coordinator.

Please share one way you'd build community around Bonks in Gen Z.

One way I would build community around Bonks in Gen Z is to utilize social media for the ability to push the brand name as well as encourage storytelling. By partnering with users and influencers, a branded hashtag unifies the campaign while making it easy for customers to find and contribute to the community. I would also emphasize the storytelling aspects of social media which would highlight the versatility and importance of Bonks in their daily lives. This can be done by featuring user content, partnering with brand influencers, and doing monthly spotlights where we select and interview one community member each month. By implementing this user-generated content campaign, we can tap into Gen Z's desire for authentic brand engagement and create a community that extends beyond the product itself.
