I would handle outreach by contacting student leaders through their organizations’ social media or by going to an in-person meeting. For local restaurants, I would call first and hopefully set up an appointment to talk to the manager. If not, I would go there in person to be able to effectively reach out.

I would promote a cause on campus by starting an Instagram account and following other student organizations that have similar goals. Then I would begin posting, connecting to businesses, and building support. Lastly, I would start posting and promoting the cause on my own personal account to gain attention!

I am involved in my history department’s undergraduate journal. I support the local domestic abuse care center, Peaceful Paths! I’ve worked with them before for another internship previously.
