What is your favorite streaming platform and why?

I absolutely love Netflix as a streaming service. It has a vast library of TV shows and movies to choose from, and I'm always discovering new and exciting content to watch. Some of my recent favorite TV shows include Alice in Borderland, Grace and Frankie, and Dear White People. One thing that sets Netflix apart from other streaming services is the variety and quality of its original programming. Alice in Borderland is a thrilling Japanese action series that kept me on the edge of my seat and is similar to the other popular series Squid Game, while Grace and Frankie is a heartwarming and humorous show about two women in their trials and tribulations. Dear White People is a thought-provoking and relevant series that tackles important social issues in a smart and entertaining way. In addition to these amazing shows, Netflix also has a great selection of classic movies, documentaries, and original series. The user interface is user-friendly and makes it easy to find something to watch. I also appreciate the ability to customize my viewing experience with profiles and preferences, as well as the option to download content for offline viewing. Overall, I think Netflix is the best streaming service out there. It has something for everyone, and the quality and variety of its content is unmatched.

What do you think most brands are doing wrong in regards to their content strategy?

I feel as if many brands targeted to Gen Z social media users (Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) are not appreciating and properly supporting creators on their platform. I think many large corporations do their best to make their platform as addicting as possible and capture the attention span of younger users to help generate profit. Because of this need to make a profit, many of the famous social media stars on these platforms are not properly being compensated and appreciated for their content online. Appealing to large corporations without supporting smaller authentic creators that generates a community creates a non-sustainable platform for consumers and creators. Youtube is one of the perfect examples of this poor branding. In the early stage of the platform, many Youtubers garnered an audience because of how authentic and relatable they were. In the mid 2010s, Youtube decided to heavily appeal to major corporations using their site to generate a large revenue and disregarded smaller niche Youtube channels. That is why many Youtubers and social media stars branch out into mainstream media rather than staying on their original platform because they are not able to make a long-lasting career on the platform. It is also why many Gen Z users are transitioning to other social media platforms such as Twitch and Tiktok.
