How do you usually participate in online groups or communities (like campus forums, food pages, or social media groups)?
I like to participate in online communities in a way that’s helpful, positive, and authentic. On campus forums or group pages, I usually share resources, answer questions, or help connect people to opportunities — whether it’s study tips, event information, or recommendations for places around LA. On social media, I’ve built my own small community through my Instagram account, Nibbles with Nicole, where I share food and product reviews. I love engaging with followers by starting conversations about new food trends, snack brands, and unique dining experiences. It’s been a fun way to connect with others who share my passion for CPG and food accessibility, while also learning from their perspectives. Overall, I try to focus on creating genuine connections and adding value to conversations, whether it’s through sharing information, offering my own experiences, or simply supporting others in the community.

Can you share an example of a time you’ve written something online (a post, review, or comment) that got a good response from others?
One example that comes to mind is my Instagram account, Nibbles with Nicole, where I share food and product reviews. I started it as a fun creative outlet to explore my love of consumer packaged goods and food trends, and it’s grown into a small community of people who really value my honest opinions. A post that got a particularly good response was when I reviewed a new better-for-you snack brand that had just launched. I shared not only my thoughts on the taste and packaging, but also talked about the story behind the brand and how it fits into the growing health-focused snack market. It sparked a lot of engagement in the comments, with people asking where they could buy it and sharing their own favorite finds. I think it resonated because it was authentic — I wasn’t just reviewing a product, I was connecting it to a bigger conversation about accessibility and trends in the food space. That experience reinforced how much I enjoy creating content that’s both fun and informative, and it’s helped me better understand how consumers interact with products and brands.
