Can you give an example of a detailed QA report you have created in the past?

In a previous QA review for a Power BI executive dashboard, I identified a data inconsistency where total revenue figures differed between a summary KPI card and the detailed transaction table. I documented the issue by specifying the report page, visual names, dataset, and refresh timestamp. The QA report included steps to reproduce (filtering by date and region), expected behavior (aligned totals across all visuals), and actual behavior (KPI card not respecting a page-level filter due to a DAX measure issue). I attached screenshots and flagged the business impact, noting that leadership decisions could be affected by inaccurate top-line metrics. This helped the team trace the issue to a missing CALCULATE filter context in the measure and deploy a fix before stakeholder review.

How do you approach identifying and documenting bugs in digital products?

I approach identifying and documenting bugs by using the product as a real user first, paying close attention to usability, edge cases, and inconsistencies across flows. I document issues clearly with concise descriptions, expected versus actual behavior, and steps to reproduce, often supported by screenshots or screen recordings. My goal is to provide actionable, well-organized feedback that helps teams quickly understand the issue and prioritize fixes efficiently.
