What are 2 consumer apps you love and why do you think they’ve gone viral or built strong user habits?

Two consumer apps that I love are Spotify and Tik Tok. Spotify invests heavily in recommendation algorithms, which get better the more you listen, creating a strong feedback loop. Users often build playlists for different contexts (workouts, studying, commuting), naturally tying Spotify to daily routines. Wrapped and social playlist sharing make people want to use it more throughout the year to see their end of year stats it's gamified listening. Free tier draws users in with minimal friction, and the premium experience creates a clear "aha" moment that leads to conversion. TikTok's algorithm starts showing you highly relevant content within minutes of use, creating instant gratification. No decision fatigue just dopamine hits one after another. Easy to use editing, tools and meme able trends make rapid content creation and remixing. This drives constant engagement from both creators and viewers. Being "in the know" on TikTok trends is a form of cultural relevance, especially among younger users which keeps them coming back multiple times a day.
