What I would do to persuade friends to join such an app is I would focus on how the app can improve their experience, instead of just focusing on what the app is.

I'd show it as something that can simplify their workflow without overcomplicating the process, like for example how it can make creating and finishing music ideas in a more simple way.

I would also do this by showing them the app and its features and comparing it to different apps they already use, so they can see the difference for themselves.

Right now, my most successful social media post (instagram) is a reel of me rapping and dancing to a remix I did for a Kpop song called 404 by KiiiKiii. What made it perform well mainly is that I used different marketing for it then I usually do. I tagged fanpages of the Artist (KiiiKiii), and reached out to them to repost the videos.

Besides that, the song was making its waves at the time, and I made sure to upload the video on a peak time and day that my audience is active, and I also posted it to my various other instagram pages--one being a dance page where I was able to cross market that video.

To consume music, I use Spotify and Youtube

To make music (specifically orchestra scores) I use Musescore and Siblieus.

To make other genres of music besides that, I use Logic Pro X, GarageBand, Bandlab, and sometimes Audacity for mixing purposes.
