Interview Questions
Robyn AI
Data Analyst Intern

What excites you about this internship at Robyn AI?
What excites me the most about this internship at Robyn Al is the opportunity to work at the intersection of mental health and Al, a space that I feel connected to. I know many of my peers, including myself, have used Al tools like ChatGPT to express thoughts, manage anxiety, and reflect on situations. I’m excited about the trajectory of this technology and the potential it has to become a positive impact on emotional wellbeing. I am also interested in this role due to my previous internship experiences. I had previously interned at a Psychosis and Neuroscience Lab, and through HLAB, I worked at the intersection of psychology and computer science. These experiences have sparked my passion for using technology to understand human behavior. I am eager to help solve real world problems in this space, and make mental health resources like this to be more accessible and helpful. Do you have any experience with tools like SQL, Python, Excel, or analytics platforms (e.g., PostHog, Mixpanel)?
Yes, I have hands-on experience with these tools due to classes that I took at Stony Brook University, personal projects, and from my previous internships. I have experience with Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn), Excel, and mySQL through my internship at the Human Language Analysis Beings Lab (HLAB). Through this internship, I was able to work on data analysis projects with large datasets, and was able to create visualizations as well. I was also able to present my work at conferences. While I have not used analytics platforms such as PostHog or Mixpanel, I am eager to learn them as I have worked with behavioral data before. Moreover, I am also currently working on certifications for Data Science, Excel, and SQL through DataCamp. What are 2 consumer apps you love and why do you think they’ve gone viral or built strong user habits?
My two favorite consumer apps are Duolingo and Canva. I use Duolingo daily to learn Spanish and chess. I believe it has a lot of users because of the company’s exceptional marketing and gamified learning experience. On days where I have yet to complete my streak, I get sassy emails that motivate me to continue my lesson, and even the ads to update to the Pro version are hilarious and upfront. I also love how they also post authentically and playfully on professional platforms such as LinkedIn, and this makes me quite curious about their work outside of the app. While I mostly use the website version of Canva, I use it frequently to create designs for my local Sunday School and to create personal projects. I believe they have a significant amount of users because they create tools that users actually need, and they also offer great customer support. For example, I recently used Canva Al to build my personal portfolio and was amazed by how intuitive and effective the design tools were. Their support team has also been quite responsive and polite whenever I had a question about any of the tools.
