Yes! One example of a successful user-generated content campaign I contributed to was during my involvement with TSU’s MANNRS chapter and other campus organizations. For events like our Denim Day Walk and hot wing contests, I encouraged students to post their own photos and videos using specific hashtags and tagging our org pages. I also created repostable graphics and interactive Instagram story templates to boost participation. The response was strong — students felt seen, engagement increased, and it created a sense of community around the events. This taught me the value of making people feel like a part of the brand story, not just the audience.

How do you stay current with social media trends and algorithm changes?

I stay current with social media trends and algorithm changes by actively using platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X (Twitter) daily, where I observe what’s gaining traction in real time. I also follow digital marketing creators, brand accounts, and industry newsletters to stay updated on algorithm updates, engagement shifts, and platform best practices. On top of that, I track my own content performance to see what’s working and adjust my strategy based on real-time insights. Staying adaptable and observant helps me stay ahead of the curve.
