Can you walk us through a successful social media campaign you've managed in the past?
Yes, during my time as Secretary of the Black Student Union, I helped lead a campaign to support victims of the 2021 Haitian earthquake. We organized a bake sale and clothing drive, and I used social media platforms to spread awareness—creating engaging posts, sharing donation details, and encouraging students to get involved. By using eye-catching visuals, personal storytelling, and consistent updates on Instagram and group chats, we were able to generate a strong turnout and collect a large amount of donations. The campaign not only brought our school community together but also demonstrated how impactful social media can be when used with purpose and strategy.

I stay updated on the latest social media trends by actively engaging with major platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter), while also paying close attention to trending sounds, viral content, and shifts in user behavior. My experience in leadership roles—such as President of the Black Student Union and Secretary of the Speech & Debate Society—has taught me how to understand my audience, tailor messaging effectively, and create content that resonates. I incorporate trends by aligning them with brand voice and values, using timely and relevant content to boost engagement while ensuring consistency and authenticity in strategy.
