Share a time when you've been able to mobilize a group of people around a product, service, or cause you feel passionate about?
I find that I would do this on a daily basis working in the food industry. I was able to easily sell my personal menu favourites because of two major factors; the first being that I took pride in that specific item and for why I knew others would too like it, as I was able to describe it in my own words to the customer(s) (as opposed to simply reading from the description on the Menu book), and secondly because I knew my ‘target audience’. In a simplified analogy, you can’t sell the Tuna Tartare to someone under the age of 27. To further elaborate, it’s important to acknowledge what product would be best suited for that specific client/customer, and to know what they’re seeking, and/or in need of another product/service, or at times not interested at all, and to further not waste time on both parties.
