In your opinion, what makes a video go viral? more specifically, how would you attempt to make a viral video for serif?
I think that there are three main facets of what makes a video go viral.
A Hook: People, especially on TikTok, scroll fast and mindlessly; therefore, to keep an audience watching a video, there has to be a strong hook within the first few seconds to keep viewers interested.
Relatability: If a viewer sees themselves and their struggles illustrated in a video, they are more often to engage in the content. This is especially true if the video provides a solution to the problem they identify with in said video.
Short Length: It is rare for a 2-minute+ video to go viral on a platform that specializes in short-form content. Additionally, attention spans keep decreasing and decreasing.
For Serif, I would make sure to include all of these three elements in at least 70% of all videos. I think that yes, while going viral is very beneficial for a company's reputation and outreach, there needs to be videos on the page for viewers to watch after they get hooked on our viral video. After somebody sees a short, enticing, relatable video introducing them to Serif, they will want to learn more about the company as a whole and what Serif offers consumers. This type of video is difficult to produce in a few short clips, which is why I believe there must be a balance of 20% longer, informative videos on Serif's page.

walk me through how you would plan and create a week's worth of content for serif.ai. What would be your process from ideation to posting, and how would you ensure consistency while keeping content fresh?
Ideating: I would brainstorm 10-20 different video ideas for the week. Putting down all my thoughts on paper and adjusting the content as I think through my different ideas. Ideating ensures that I get all my ideas onto paper, experimenting with different variations of videos to keep ideas fresh and new.
Pruning: Next, I would filter through all my ideas, and with the help of colleagues, friends, and community, I would select the best ideas of the bunch, focusing only on the videos that would highlight the best qualities of Serif while still engaging the audience and being relatable.
Prototyping: Through much collaborative work in the visual arts conservatory that I am a part of, I have learned the importance of prototyping my ideas. Prototyping will give me a feel for what the videos will be like, how long I would like them to be if I want a voice-over or just music, and many other aspects of the visuals in any video I create for Serif.
Creating: I will create video content with the Capcut video editing software. Here, I will edit ideas for the week's posts easily, being able to efficiently change the length of clips, colors and visuals, sounds and voice-overs, and any custom intro or outro with Serif's logo.

If you had to create 3 different TikTok videos about serif.ai right now, what would each concept be and why would they resonate with your target audience?
I am a freelance photographer who has to email clients very regularly. I would show how the Email Reply Assistant feature of Serif helps me quickly and efficiently reply to clients in my own voice and authentic writing style.
A short, witty video about the different types of emailers. Some examples may include: the emoji abuser (using odd emojis and smiley faces after every sentence), the over-thinker (typing and deleting and typing and deleting different replies to try and people-please the recipient of the email). The video will end with some form of "Serif can fix this" or "Don't be that person, use Serif", a funny and less-advertising conclusion.
A clip of somebody sitting at their desk trying to craft the perfect email reply, typing, deleting, and retyping. This clip has text above it, saying "trying to craft the perfect email reply in 2025". Eventually, getting frustrated and smashing the keyboard or other signs of frustration. Finally, the screen goes dark, and the previous text disappears. New text replaces it saying "or... just let Serif do it in mere seconds" or something of that variation.
Showing the lifestyle aspect of Serif through a video showcasing what I now have time for in my day-to-day life, thanks to Serif's email assistant. Specific examples would include making a healthy, sustaining breakfast, walking my dog, and having time for hobbies. Now that I don't have to spend so much time on replying to and sorting my emails, I will highlight what I can now do with the extra time Serif AI has gifted me.
