How would you describe a successful training Process?
I have experience as a supervisor to Supplemental Instruction leaders at my university and recently helped train them before they began their roles. A successful training process starts from the first interview, making sure that they understand an overview of the company, the role, and what the obligations would be, so that they go in knowing what would be expected of them. Once interns are hired, it's necessary to make sure they are all on the same page by going through a group training, or giving everyone the same individual training. This involves going more in-depth on what they will be doing in their role and giving them all of the information they will need to thrive in as an intern. Making this process engaging and encouraging the new interns to ask questions is a key part of a successful training program. Finally, once the interns fully understand how to successfully navigate their responsibilities and feel confident in themselves moving forward, situations that they may face in the role can be acted out and small quizzes on topics such as the apps features can be given. Once the interns have passed their training program, it is necessary to make sure they still feel comfortable asking questions if things go wrong in the future or if they feel like they need help.

Share a few of the most impactful traditions as it relates to March Madness on your campus?
As a school that made it to the Final Four for the first time last year, basketball spirit has really picked up on campus the past few years. There are many traditions that take place during the games, such as the student group Crimson Chaos leading the student section in cheers. Also, small gifts are typically given out at basketball games for students who get in early. However, since basketball has not been in the spotlight as much until the previous few years at UA, we don't have as many campus traditions related to the sport.
