How do you engage an audience authentically online?

I engage audiences authentically by creating content that sparks curiosity or surprise, something that makes them stop scrolling. I combine this with humour and storytelling to keep things relatable, while using interactive features like Instagram Channels, Stories, Notes and Polls to maintain direct, ongoing connections with followers. Consistency and genuine communication are key to keeping people interested and feeling part of the community.

What types of content do you enjoy creating most?

Reels are incredibly fun to create. I love following trends and finding ways to make them fit the brand's identity. As the Social Media Manager for the University of Ottawa Boxing Club, I come up with video concepts, film them, and edit the content to align with trending sounds or present it in a unique, engaging way that captures members' attention. I also really enjoy organizing and participating in photoshoots, as they allow me to be creative with visual storytelling and aesthetics.

What do you focus on when sharing your honest opinion about a product?

When sharing my honest opinion about a product, I focus first on the packaging: Presentation matters because people “eat with their eyes.” Depending on the product, texture and taste are also key factors. I then consider the brand’s ethics and values, as well as any additional benefits, both emotional and physical, that the product offers to the user.
