I prefer designing with Canva and Procreate. I enjoy using Canva because it’s very intuitive and efficient, allowing me to quickly create clean, visually appealing marketing assets. It’s especially useful for building things like portfolios, social media content, and even simple websites while maintaining a cohesive and professional look. I also like how easy it is to stay consistent with branding through fonts, colors, and layout, which is really important for marketing. I also enjoy using Procreate because it allows me to physically draw and create custom elements from scratch. This gives me more creative control and helps me avoid relying solely on pre-made graphics or clip art, resulting in more unique and personalized designs. It’s especially helpful when I want to add a more creative or hand-drawn element to a design to make it stand out.

I’ve worked on a variety of graphic design projects, both professional and personal. In my major, Interior Architecture, it goes hand in hand with graphic design—creating flyers and working with programs such as Canva and Photoshop. I’ve also become extremely proficient in online programming and technology through my major. In addition, I’ve completed a few internships that were focused on graphic design and marketing. This past year, I worked for a women-led personal brand, where I helped with marketing and social media for the company. I have also worked for a real estate brand in the past, where I created all of their flyers and managed their Instagram as well. I tend to do a lot of graphic design work for the sorority I was involved in. As Merch Chair, much of the clothing design went hand in hand with graphic design.
