I have experience editing social media video content through my current role at my campus radio station, where I create short-form clips from station shows for Instagram Reels and TikTok. This has helped me develop skills in identifying engaging moments, editing for fast-paced social content, and tailoring videos to different platforms and audiences. In addition to short-form content, I also have experience editing longer-form videos for class assignments and personal creative projects. I’m most experienced using Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut, which I use for everything from quick social edits to more polished, detailed video projects.

Having strong hooks that grab audience attention within the first 1-3 seconds helps to keep viewers engaged, while also delivering a concise, to-the-point message. Keeping the videos centered around one key point helps to ensure the video remains concise.

I find CapCut to be the best for social media clips, however when necessary I also use Adobe Premiere Pro to adjust color and add graphics.
