I'm personally a fan of content over execution, so I'm drawn to accounts (instagram) like Sabukaru.online, Wisdom Kaye, Aplasticplant, Archived dreams, welcome.jpeg, tokyodandy, gothonline, Ihategum, samutaro, nicolemclaughlin, hidden.ny, and throwing fits, etc.

What are your go-to editing techniques to make a video more engaging?
Depending on what footage I'm given, it can really make or break the edit. However, I can usually salvage something, it just takes a lot of time. So I like the time ticker technique where the click of a stopwatch either winds up in speed or down in speed, where the video cuts on each tick, making the video feel engaging.

What's an editing style you think is overused?
Fast-paced, sound-triggered cuts to trending songs are super overused. (but that doesn't mean they're not effective ;) I can edit like this, but I like to pick songs that aren't as trendy to add variety and to pair with trending songs as well.
