What social media platforms do you find most effective for influencer outreach?

I think Instagram is the most effective because it isn't as oversaturated as TikTok. When you reach out to someone through Instagram, it is more eye-catching than a random TikTok DM. Also, an Instagram page is far more curated and "professional" than a TikTok page, allowing whoever you are reaching out to to verify your authenticity and who you are. Still, compared to other social media platforms, TikTok is also a great way to communicate with a ton of people and to get outreach fast.

How do you identify influencers that fit a brand’s audience?

While the main way to do this is to analyze the type of content an influencer produces, something I think is even more important is to look at who is engaging with the content. Looking through the influencer's followers and comments to see the audience they are curating with their page is the number one way to identify the right influencer that will push our brand out to the right people.

As the partnerships lead for my current social media internship, I regularly create concept designs for shoots. This includes communicating exactly what kind of vibe I want to emulate, describing what shots I want for photos and videos, and doing all of this in an organized presentation.
