alk us through how you'd approach this shoot from the moment you arrive at the store. What would you capture first, what angles or elements of the store beyond our product would you want to highlight, and would you plan to include yourself in any shots?"
When I first arrive at the store, I’d take a quick walk through to get a feel for the layout, lighting, and where the product is placed. I’d start by capturing clean, well-lit shots of the product on the shelf to establish it clearly, making sure the label is visible and it stands out. Then I’d mix in wider angles that show the retail environment—like aisles, signage, or shoppers in the background—to give context and make it feel like a real in-store experience. I’d also look for small details like shelf placement or nearby products to add depth. I’d definitely include myself in a few shots, like reaching for the product or doing a quick “found it” moment, so it feels more personal and relatable rather than just product-focused.

Can you share an example of in-store or retail content you've seen recently that stood out to you? What made it work, and how would you bring that kind of energy to this shoot?"
One example that stood out to me was in-store displays with digital screens showing quick, eye-catching product clips. It worked because it grabbed attention and showed the product in action, not just sitting there. To bring that energy to my shoot, I’d focus on movement and real-life moments—like someone grabbing the gel or using it—so it feels natural and engaging instead of staged.

How would you ensure your photos highlight the product effectively in a retail setting?
I’d make sure the product is always the clear focal point by using clean backgrounds and good lighting so it stands out on the shelf. I’d shoot from angles that show the label clearly and highlight key features, while also capturing it in a natural retail context so it feels real, not staged. I’d also pay attention to composition—like framing and depth—so the product pops without distractions and looks appealing at first glance.
