GoodBite
Campus Ambassador for GoodBite

This role includes reaching out to local restaurants and student leaders. How would you handle that outreach each week?
To handle outreach to local restaurants and student leaders each week, I would start by creating a clear and organized plan. I would make a list of potential contacts, prioritize based on relevance and availability, and set specific goals for how many people or organizations I want to connect with each week. Consistency is key, so I would dedicate certain days to reaching out via email, social media, or in-person visits to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. When reaching out, I would keep my messages friendly, professional, and concise, clearly explaining who I am, what GoodBite stands for, and how a partnership could benefit them or their community. I would also follow up politely if I don’t hear back and track all communications to make sure I can reference previous conversations and maintain relationships. By staying organized, proactive, and personable, I can build genuine connections while consistently promoting the cause and getting results.

How would you promote a cause on your campus and get students to pay attention?
To promote a cause on campus and actually get students to pay attention, I would focus on making it feel relevant, visible, and human. Students are more likely to engage when they understand why a cause matters to them personally, so I would start by connecting the mission to everyday student life instead of presenting it as just another initiative or flyer. I would use a mix of in person and digital engagement. On campus, that could look like pop ups, tabling in high traffic areas, or partnering with existing student organizations so the cause feels integrated rather than separate. Giving students something interactive, whether that is a quick activity, a free sample, or a conversation starter, makes them more likely to stop and listen. Online, I would share short, relatable content that explains the cause in a simple and approachable way, using real students and real voices rather than overly polished messaging. Most importantly, I would focus on storytelling. Sharing personal experiences, testimonials, or small moments that show the impact of the cause helps students feel emotionally connected. When people feel seen and included rather than talked at, they are much more likely to pay attention, care, and take action.
