Have you ever sold something online or in person? Share an example, big or small. Talk about what you learned from that selling experience
Yes — I run an online business where I sell custom products through platforms like Shopify, Printify, and TikTok Shop. One example was a limited-edition hoodie drop I promoted through short TikTok videos and Instagram Stories. I learned how important it is to create urgency with limited availability, use engaging visuals to capture attention fast, and build trust by showing real people enjoying the product. That experience taught me that selling isn’t just about pushing a product — it’s about telling a story, connecting it to people’s lifestyles, and making them feel like they’re part of something special. Those lessons carry over to any brand I represent, whether online or in person.

What's your video creation process? How do you usually get your inspirations?
My video creation process starts with understanding the audience and the goal — what feeling or message I want viewers to take away. From there, I brainstorm a concept, pulling inspiration from trending sounds, pop culture moments, and what’s currently happening on campus at VSU. I plan the key shots and transitions, but leave room for spontaneous, authentic moments that make the video feel real. Once I film, I edit with attention to pacing, captions, and music that match the vibe. I get most of my inspiration by staying active on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and campus social media, paying attention to what’s trending but also looking for ways to give it a unique, VSU twist so it stands out while still feeling relatable.

Tell me about a piece of content you made that got more engagement than usual. What do you think made it successful?
One piece of content that got more engagement than usual was a short TikTok I made highlighting a “day in the life” at VSU during Homecoming Week. I combined quick, high-energy clips of events, student outfits, and behind-the-scenes moments with trending audio and bold captions. It performed far better than my usual posts because it tapped into school pride, used a format that felt authentic to students, and rode the momentum of a trending sound. I also posted it at peak engagement hours and encouraged friends to share it, which helped it spread quickly through the campus community. The mix of relatability, timeliness, and emotional connection to VSU made it resonate.
