Interview Questions
JOVA
Business Development Intern (Health Food Startup)

How do you usually keep track of tasks, follow-ups, or deadlines when things are moving fast?
Having a very busy schedule, being a full-time student and working as a resident assistant 20 hours a week, I have learnt that using reminders and calendars to note and break down all of my tasks has been a huge help and has successfully kept me on top of all tasks. I am also very big on soft deadlines so that I am not rushing to finish tasks last minute.

Tell us about a time you helped something run more smoothly, or solved a problem on your own.
I worked as a resident assistant for 3 years. My hall was hosting a welcome-week social event. There were 6 staff members who were supposed to plan the event. There was a lack of clear communication and uneven task distribution among staff. I created a shared task list using Google Docs. I also took on the initiative of assigning team members specific roles: setup, check-in, engagement, and cleanup. These actions helped the event run smoother and led to a much quicker execution.

What excites you about this role and working with JOVA?
Since Jova is a growing eComm and retail channel, and I, too, am in a growing phase of my life, I think it would be a great fit. I am a very detail-oriented, organized person, and have succeeded in an administration role under lots of pressure before. Jova's brand really attracted me, the colors of the products, and the fact that it's a health food really align with my lifestyle. I would love to contribute to the growing team at Jova !
