The most creative gifting initiative I've seen a brand execute was Kim Kardashian's fragrance line's infamous Valentines Day chocolate box. This specific gift was first executed several years ago and gained such popularity from its recipients and the internet users that witnessed it that its been brought back multiple times by Kardashian's team for other product launches. I also believe it popularized elaborate gifting that was unique to each recipient and involved food/interaction. This gifting initiative is notable to me for multiple reasons, one being that it was really the first time social media users (specifically instagram users) witnessed a gifting of such elaborateness. They also utilized social media to help make their gifting stand out from the rest. While it is a basic principle of gifting initiatives to send a product to influential people, this specific execution benefited tremendously from their recipients huge social media platforms. From that point on, I truly believe Kim Kardashian's fragrance line set a precedent for countless other brands to follow that gifting initiatives should be elaborate and aim to be seen on countless influential people's social medias.

In my response, I would first apologize for their negative experience with the brand. This way we can show accountability and validate their concerns. I would then tell them to Direct Message or Private Message so I could understand their problem in its entirety. An alternative to this would be responding back to them and then DMing or PMing them directly. This way, we can try and work through their problem to solve it.
