Interview Questions
Accrue
Brand Ambassador - Accrue

Can you describe a successful experience you've had promoting a product or service to consumers?
While working with Rebecca DIY, I helped promote a line of handmade home décor pieces through Instagram and Pinterest. I created short-form videos showing behind-the-scenes looks at the DIY process, styled final product shots, and wrote engaging captions that connected with the brand’s audience. One campaign I worked on led to a 20% boost in engagement and multiple product sell-outs within a few days. What made it successful was how we leaned into storytelling—showing not just the product, but the why behind it. That experience taught me how powerful authenticity, visual consistency, and community engagement can be when it comes to driving interest and conversions.

How do you approach engaging with customers in a retail setting?
I always start by reading the energy of the room—some people are open and curious, while others prefer a quick interaction. I keep things warm and approachable, usually starting with a smile and a simple question like, “Have you heard about [the product/app] yet?” From there, I focus on being conversational instead of salesy. I try to highlight one or two key benefits in a way that relates to their day-to-day life. If they’re interested, I walk them through the next step and make sure they leave with a positive impression, whether or not they sign up right away.

Sales Outreach Intern
what are some example studios you would target in this role?
In this role, I would target studios that align with Equipt’s design-led, movement-focused mission. For example, The Class by Taryn Toomey offers an immersive, emotionally driven fitness experience in beautifully designed spaces—making it a strong fit for Equipt’s aesthetic. Alo Yoga Sanctuaries in LA and NYC blend premium yoga with modern wellness culture, and would be ideal for product integration. FORM Pilates in Los Angeles is another great match, known for its high-end clientele and design-forward approach to Pilates. I’d also explore partnerships with larger premium fitness brands like Equinox, where performance and style go hand-in-hand. Finally, I’d consider spaces like Remedy Place, a luxury social wellness club, where Equipt could complement recovery and movement offerings in a visually elevated environment.
