How would you approach promoting Uber's Back-to-School Activation to students?
I’d approach promoting Uber’s Back-to-School Activation by blending social media with on-campus connections. Since I already create UGC content and run an Amazon storefront, I know how to make short-form TikToks and Reels that grab attention while staying authentic. I’d make fun, relatable videos showing how students actually use Uber—like late-night study sessions, grocery runs, or rides to events, and tie in discount codes with a call to action. On campus, I’m active in student orgs and know the importance of word-of-mouth. I’d use my network at UIUC to spread the word in group chats, during events, and through student communities like ALPFA. I’d also make in-person activations more engaging with giveaways, QR codes, and collabs with clubs so Uber feels like part of the student lifestyle, not just transportation.
As a Latina creator, I’d also highlight Uber as a safe and reliable way for students, especially women and first-years who are still learning their way around campus, to get where they need to go. My goal would be to position Uber as an essential student tool: safe, affordable, and convenient.
