Brainstorm one area of opportunity for Poundcake! Be creative, out of the box, and think about our brand's value and mission.

Create interactive pop-up booths at community events, campuses, or cultural festivals where real people (not influencers) can step in and record raw, unfiltered video content talking about confidence, culture, and creativity. No filters, no scripts, just honest voices. The content could be repurposed as part of a branded series on Instagram or TikTok. This ties back to Poundcake’s mission of celebrating authentic beauty and identity, while building community and collecting shareable UGC that feels real and different.

How do you bring people out of their shells and help them feel comfortable filming content?

I start by creating a relaxed and judgment-free environment. I let people know they don’t have to be ‘perfect’ on camera and encourage them to speak casually, like they’re talking to a friend. I often give prompts or simple questions instead of scripts to make it feel more natural. Sometimes we do a few fun test shots just to get them warmed up. I also lead by example, showing them how I’d do it first so they feel more confident. Most importantly, I give positive, encouraging feedback to help them feel good about what they’re creating.
