Can you provide an example of a successful collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve marketing goals?
Yes! A great example comes from my time working with BecauseMentalHealth, where I helped lead a campaign aimed at increasing awareness around mental health stigma among students. Our team was small but diverse, both in terms of time zones and tasks: we had people working across content strategy, data analytics, partnerships, and design. As part of the marketing team, I worked cross-functionally to plan a campaign around World Mental Health Day. I collaborated with the data team to gather insights about our audience's mental health concerns and with the content team to shape messaging that was empathetic yet engaging. Meanwhile, I worked with the design lead to create visually impactful carousel posts and reels, and coordinated with external outreach partners to ensure alignment in messaging across platforms. We tracked engagement metrics across each phase of the campaign and adjusted content formats based on performance (e.g., pivoting from static posts to interactive stories and community challenges). As a result, we saw a 3x increase in shares, our most engaged Instagram post to date, and doubled our email newsletter sign-ups in that week alone.
