Are you comfortable responding quickly and adapting to changing priorities?
Absolutely! It's definitely one of my strengths. In my UCL Social Media Assistant role and as a TikTok creator, I regularly create and post content on short notice when something timely or trending comes up. I'm used to adapting to a brief quickly, being on camera without extensive prep, and pivoting creative direction mid-shoot. The on-call, spontaneous nature of this role is something I genuinely thrive in.

How do you stay up to date with social media trends?
I am on social media all day every day. I check TikTok's Discover page and trending audio daily, and cross-reference with Instagram Reels to spot what's gaining traction across platforms. I also follow creators in the beauty and lifestyle space closely, both for inspiration and to understand what content formats are resonating. Through my TikTok channel (1M+ impressions) and my role creating content for UCL's Union cafes, I've built an instinct for what's about to trend versus what's already peaked. I also use TikTok Creator Studio analytics to identify which of my own posts perform best and reverse-engineer why.
