What's a non-work-related interest or skill that has helped you Professionally?
A non-work related interest that has helped me professionally would be dance! Dancing has helped me manage my time better, as I have to create a schedule and block in a certain time of the day to allow myself to dance. Additionally, dancing has helped me communicate to others on how we can improve as a team, rather than improving individually. It has allowed me to direct others in a gentle way.

What's Your favorite project you've worked on and why? (ex. what were the steps involved? Did you collaborate with others? What roadblocks did you run into and how did you solve them?)
My favorite project that I have worked on so far was an application design project for our campus radio station. I enjoyed this project because this was the first time I was applying my graphic design knowledge to building an app, and it was an enlightening experience to see how apps are built from the ground up! My team and I worked on the creative direction of the app, and we collaborated by meeting weekly and coming to each meeting with our own design ideas. We would then compare and exchange ideas and come to a consensus on which design style we liked best for the rest of the app design group to follow. Some roadblocks we ran into were that people who were designing the various pages of the app felt a bit lost on which style to design the page in, which led my team to build a brand guide for the rest of the teams to follow! This helped a lot, and the app was able to be designed with a more consistent artistic style.

How do you ensure consistency in brand messaging AND VISUALS across various creative assets?
Some ways to ensure consistency in brand messaging and visuals across assets is to use a visual branding guide! This would include a single font for all headings, the same or similar font for subheadings/body text, and a color palette. Additionally, brand messaging can be made consistent by using the same tone throughout all writing on the product, as well as identifying a consistent target audience to tailor the visual elements of the brand towards.
