<p>I am learning how to support and motivate individuals to improve their health, well-being, and overall quality of life, while also helping them build independence, confidence, and a strong sense of self-worth. Using specially designed OTD facilities, I get to develope creative and adaptive approaches to help clients engage with their environment and successfully carry out work, recreational, and self-care activities. I would like to work in the neonatal intensive care unit once I have graduated.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Health Sciences provided me with an understanding of what causes disease, how to encourage wellness and positive behavior change, and the scientific principles and methods used to analyze health issues affecting individuals and communities. Through my minor in chronic illness, I’d gained a deeper understanding of how chronic conditions affect individuals, families, the healthcare system, and society as a whole. I learned practical strategies for preventing and managing chronic illness at every stage, which has strengthened my skills and prepared me to bring this insight into any professional field I pursue.</p>
