Can you describe a time when you had to analyze feedback data to derive actionable insights?
As an intern with massPIRG, I had the opportunity to analyze feedback data after one of our advocacy campaigns focused on student sustainability initiatives. We had collected feedback from students through online surveys and in-person outreach during events. The feedback was a mix of quantitative ratings on aspects like event engagement and the clarity of our campaign goals, as well as qualitative comments about what students felt worked well and where they wanted improvements. I went through the data by first organizing it into categories: communication, event logistics, and the overall impact of the campaign. I found that while most students rated our campaign positively, there was a recurring theme in the open-ended responses about the need for more specific, actionable steps they could take after participating. To make this feedback actionable, I suggested to the team that we refine our messaging for future campaigns to include clear, immediate actions that students could easily follow through on, such as signing petitions or attending follow-up meetings. Additionally, I recommended increasing our social media presence to maintain engagement after events. These insights helped shape the direction for future advocacy efforts, improving both the effectiveness of our campaigns and the overall student participation.

How do you approach gathering feedback from a diverse group of student participants?
When gathering feedback from a diverse group of student participants, I aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard and valued. I start by ensuring that the feedback methods I use—whether surveys, interviews, or group discussions—are accessible to all, considering factors like language, technology, and learning styles. I make an effort to reach out to a variety of students from different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences to ensure diversity in the feedback I collect. During the process, I encourage open dialogue and try to ask questions that invite thoughtful responses while being sensitive to cultural differences. I also provide multiple avenues for students to share their thoughts, whether anonymously or openly, to make them feel comfortable. By actively listening, being open-minded, and adapting my approach as needed, I aim to gather feedback that is both comprehensive and representative of the whole group.

How do you approach collaborating with customers to generate authentic user-generated content?
When collaborating with customers to generate authentic user-generated content, I focus on building strong, genuine relationships. First, I take the time to understand their needs, preferences, and the story they want to tell. I create an open space where they feel comfortable sharing their experiences and perspectives, making sure to listen actively and provide guidance when needed. I emphasize authenticity by encouraging them to share their real thoughts and feedback, and I offer creative input while respecting their voice. My goal is to create content that truly reflects their experience with the brand, ensuring it resonates with both them and the wider audience. Through this collaborative and thoughtful process, we can produce content that feels genuine and impactful.
