What's three important aspects you consider when adopting a new social app into your daily screen time?

the three biggest aspects of an app i consider when including it in my screen time are: 1) purpose: most of my screen time is spent on social media, which has a strong motivating purpose: connecting with my friends/consuming content. when i have something funny/interesting to share, i post it on my private story. when i'm bored and don't want to watch tv, i'll scroll through tiktok. most apps don't have a purpose that i'm super in need of, making them less likely to be included in my screen time. 2) reputation: all of the social apps i spend a lot of time using are popular and well-known. this not only provides peace of mind regarding the relative safety of the app, but also gives me reason to use the app in the first place. if i'm the only one i know using an app, i'm super unlikely to use it because there's no way for me to connect with others on it. 3) ease-of-use/UI: there have been some social apps that i've had reason to use, but i've not used them because the app is not easy or pleasing to use. nice looking apps with obvious interfaces are much more likely to be appealing to spend a lot of time on, especially when the concept behind their niche is simple and obvious. snapchat has quickly disappearing photos, and it takes two gestures to send one. tiktok's niche is short-form vertical content, and it takes two simple gestures to either consume or share one's own content. these examples are obvious, but may be hard to implement.
