Interview Questions
Pacifica Beauty
Product Reviewer for Vegan Beauty Fragrances
How do you ensure your reviews are honest and constructive?
I make sure my reviews are honest by actually using the product in my everyday routine and sharing my real experience with it. I always talk about what I genuinely like, how it feels on my skin, and how it fits into my routine, instead of just saying something is good because it’s trending. If something isn’t my personal favorite, I’m honest about that too, but in a constructive way that explains who the product would work best for.
I think honesty builds trust, so I focus on being transparent, relatable, and detailed while keeping my feedback positive and helpful. My goal is always to help people decide if a product is right for them while giving brands thoughtful, real feedback they can actually use.

Product Reviewer for Vegan Beauty Fragrances
What qualities do you consider when reviewing beauty products?
When reviewing beauty products, I focus on a mix of performance, ingredients, and overall experience. I look at how well the product works, how it feels on the skin, and whether it delivers on its claims. I also pay close attention to ingredients, especially whether they are clean, vegan, and cruelty free, since those values are important to me and align with Pacifica’s mission.
I also consider things like texture, scent, packaging, and how the product fits into an everyday routine. I think about whether it’s easy to use, how it wears throughout the day, and if it’s something I’d realistically repurchase or recommend to others. Lastly, I value transparency and consistency. I like when brands are honest about what their products do and create items that feel both effective and accessible.
ColourPop
Brand Ambassador for ColourPop

what's a creative way you would lead sampling efforts both on and off campus?
A creative way I would lead sampling efforts is by turning them into interactive, experience based moments rather than just handouts. On campus, I’d host pop up “Get Ready With ColourPop” moments at high traffic areas or before big events like formals, game days, or philanthropy events. Students could try products, get quick shade recommendations, and take photos at a branded setup to share on social media. I’d also incorporate mini giveaways or “spin the wheel” style games to make sampling feel exciting and memorable. Off campus, I’d collaborate with local coffee shops, fitness studios, or beauty related businesses to create mini sampling moments where people can grab products while going about their day. I’d also encourage user generated content by offering incentives for posting their looks, tagging ColourPop, or sharing their favorite product finds. Overall, my goal would be to make sampling feel fun, social, and interactive, something people want to participate in, talk about, and share, while authentically introducing ColourPop to new audiences in a way that feels natural and exciting.
