How do you stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends?

I stay updated on Instagram and TikTok trends by actively spending time on both platforms daily, paying close attention to trending sounds, formats, and recurring content styles. I regularly explore the For You and Explore pages, track what creators in lifestyle, beauty, and community spaces are doing, and notice how trends evolve over time. Through my experience working in social media, I’ve learned to quickly identify which trends feel authentic to a brand versus those that are better to skip, and I enjoy adapting trends in a way that still feels on-brand and intentional.

What attracts you to influencer and social media marketing?

What attracts me to influencer and social media marketing is the ability to combine creativity with strategy to build genuine connections between brands and their audiences. Through my role as a Marketing Assistant at Maureen Henry Communications, I’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful content, creator partnerships, and consistent community engagement can shape brand perception and drive real results. As the Vice President of Marketing for Georgetown Athletes Invest, I’ve also led social media initiatives that grow awareness and engagement within a tight-knit community, working closely with student-athletes to create authentic, impactful content. Together, these experiences have shown me how powerful influencer and social media marketing can be when it’s intentional, data-informed, and rooted in authenticity.
