Having grown up in the multicultural city of Dubai, I have extensive experience working and collaborating with people from different backgrounds which I think is important when managing diverse talent on streaming channels. My liberal arts education has supplemented my global perspective and taught me the necessary skills to thrive in diverse and dynamic work environments making me a strong candidate for this role. I'm also super passionate about the beauty world and my past work experiences in the beauty industry, using a variety of technologies, make me a well-qualified applicant for this position. My experience working at both major retailer, Sephora, and beauty startup, Kulfi Beauty, honed my skills in spearheading 360 marketing plans, consumer data analytics and creative strategies for marketing projects across multiple mediums. At Sephora, I supported the Brand Marketing team to optimize their relations with over 30 niche and prestige brands within the Makeup category at Sephora. My summer project was to develop a competitive research deck on social media best practices within the beauty retail space and making recommendations on how strategy at Sephora can be built out. In 2019, I worked at a South Asian beauty startup, Kulfi Beauty on the brand marketing team. My job entailed creating original editorial and digital content for various consumer facing social platforms. I worked closely with the creative team to plan and implement 360 marketing campaigns. I also established a campus brand ambassador program to establish brand presence in our target Gen Z market and build an inclusive community. I also conducted outreach for diverse partnership opportunities with Gen Z influencers within the beauty space, put together PR gifts and managed a growing media list of 450 partners. Beyond my work experience, I consider myself an outgoing, people person who is passionate about all things beauty. From GRWMs to new product launches to beauty influencers, I love having my finger on the pulse and would love to bring this energy to the role at NEWNESS.
