Interview Questions

Tattd Profile Image

What research methods do you find most effective for manual data collection?

I believe that the best way to garner data is to directly reach in contact with the provider in question, and to understand their relationship with the work that is being researched, like personal interviews. I also highly emphasize unifying group trends that are occurring within the field, particularly between certain cities and sub-cultural circles, like pointing out the demand of types of artistic styles, if a particular city has a consistent specialty, and highlighting apprentice opportunities.

How would you identify and approach tattoo artists and influencers for outreach?

I would directly contact them through social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter "X", and other art focused communities within access. Those who have listed portfolios or attached images of their works would be the individuals I'd directly speak with regarding their knowledge and experiences within the Tattooing industry. Overall, I would make sure that I could provide a great bridge of connection, as an artist with person relations in the design field, I would be a socially-familiar person to communicate with, especially since I understand that artists are often looking for opportunities to put their work anywhere that could be seen.
