In my experience, engaging with consumers in a retail environment has always been about creating a positive, personal connection. For example, when I worked at Devils Lake Water Sports, I learned that listening first was key—understanding what customers wanted, whether it was a family-friendly boat or something sportier. From there, I guided them through options, highlighted features, and tailored recommendations to their needs. This approach not only helped close sales but also built trust, leading to repeat customers and referrals. At Hormel Foods, I had the chance to engage in a different type of retail setting—working with store teams to set up product displays, sample events, and promotions. I found that being approachable and knowledgeable encouraged shoppers to try something new. I always aimed to make the experience fun and informative, which translated into stronger sales and lasting impressions for the brand.

I’d also highlight its natural refreshment on social media in a fun, lifestyle-focused way rather than a hard sell. Beyond that, I’d connect with local wellness spaces like gyms or yoga studios, offering tastings to get people excited. For me, the key is creating genuine connections between CoAqua and the community through experiences and storytelling.
