How do you shop sustainably today?

I love fashion and trends, but my favorite trends are "the ones I can find at the thrift store". Shopping sustainably doesn't mean that you have to skip out on fashion trends. In fact most of my favorite pieces are from thrift stores because they are better quality for half the price. While I've found my go to thrift stores in my hometown, recently I've been shopping on websites like depop or poshmark to search for specific pieces and looks. By using retail websites I've found specific brands and trend pieces that were unique, fit better, and exactly what I was looking for.

Tell us about a meal from the past year that you absolutely loved.

My favorite meal from the past year would be from a columbian restaurant in my neighborhood. I came in wanting to try the viral birria tacos and left with a love of plantains. Our waitress took us in like we were from her own family and explained how they made their birria, all the different ways to cook plantains, and offered the best food recommendations. It was a meal that I often think about, not only for the flavors and cuisine, but because of the welcoming experience and culture of the restaurant.
