Tell us about a time you helped promote, organize, or grow something on campus. What did you actually do?
I’ve helped promote and grow the women’s rugby team on campus by actively recruiting new players and increasing awareness of the team. I’ve talked to students one on one, invited them to practices, and explained that no prior rugby experience is needed. I’ve also helped promote games and events through social media, word of mouth, writing on whiteboards in classrooms, and by encouraging friends and classmates to come support us. Through consistent outreach and being approachable, I’ve helped bring new people to the team and increase engagement around our games.

How do you stay involved on-campus?
I stay involved on campus mainly through being a student-athlete on the women’s rugby team, which keeps me very connected to other students and campus events. Between practices, games, team activities, and the gym, I’m constantly interacting with people across campus. I also stay involved by attending campus events, supporting other student organizations, and being active on social media, which helps me stay connected and engaged with the campus community.

How comfortable are you with in-person outreach (tabling, talking to students you don’t know, classroom announcements, events)? Please Describe any experience.
I’m very comfortable with in-person outreach. As a student-athlete, I’m used to talking with people I don’t know through team events, campus involvement, and recruiting new players. I’ve helped promote rugby events, talked to students about joining the team, and interacted with people at games and campus activities. I’m comfortable approaching students, starting conversations, and representing a brand in a positive, approachable way. I enjoy connecting with people face to face and think it’s one of the best ways to get others excited about a product or company.
