I mostly use Canva to create basic and static graphics, but I usually use Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to edit pictures and graphics before adding them to Canva.

I am the Filipino Culture Night (FCN) Creative Director for the Filipino American Association at Indiana University, Bloomington. I am currently working on marketing materials and graphics that are dominated with purples and golds, accented with bold black fonts and graphics. I also am working on materials for a small business with the opposite feeling, lots of pastels and flowers that soften the look and contrast with the boldness of my other work. I would try to combine the bold/saturated colors with simple graphics to highlight the youthfulness in the content.

Gen Z audiences are drawn to colorful, bold graphics that draw their attention. I want to stay true to these core components when creating graphics and ensure that the overall "vibe" or tone of the graphic also matches the message the brand wants to convey. As someone who is a part of the Gen Z audience, I will look at my content from the perspective of online viewers and decide whether it would grab their attention or cause them to immediately scroll.
