I do a multitude of things to stay up to date with the latest social media trends. First I try to spend 10-15 minutes daily on TikTok or Instagram looking at my FYP to explore audio trends, visual styles, and viral formats. I also follow trend-spotter accounts like @latermedia. Next, I subscribe to a few newsletters like Future Social and Social Media Today. I also try to monitor trends and watch what micro-influencers are doing as they are often the ones who jump on trends early. Following relevant communities and looking beyond social media also help me to identify new trends, as well as stay up to date.
