How have they affected daily life?
I am fortunate enough to catch them early on, but whenever I feel a new one, I am careful to avoid any activities in which I could spread them such as sharing drinks, etc.

How often have you experienced these cold sores?
I experience the first signs of cold sores around every other month, but since I am proactive with the antiviral medication, they rarely develop into a full cold sore.

Yes, I have experienced cold sores in the past and take Valtrex to mitigate them whenever I feel a new one coming on.
