I am extremely passionate about improving machinery and better utilization of sustainability approaches to make machinery more eco-friendly. As we become more dependent on technology, we have an opportunity to innovate and reduce the environmental impacts of machinery. I would incorporate this into my content for Built by Girls by highlighting the strides women and non-binary people in STEM have made in environmental engineering and green technology. In my video content I would talk about breakthroughs in green technology and sustainable machinery, as well as highlight specific work done by women and non-binary people in STEM, hoping to inspire young women and non-binary individuals to consider STEM based careers as an option.

What are you up to in this Fall (internships, extra-curriculars etc.)?

I am starting my first year of university as a mechanical engineering student at the University of Ottawa. I do lot's of sports and fitness oriented extra-curriculars like yoga, weightlifting, pilates, volleyball, and kickboxing, as well as other extra-curriculars I plan to join, including rocketry, book club, philosophy, women in STEM clubs, tutoring, and robotics.
