What is one resource that BBG could provide your club members?
One resource that BBG could provide our club members is a mentorship program connecting students with female and non-binary professionals in STEM fields. This would give members guidance on navigating academic and career paths, help them build professional networks early, and provide insight into real-world applications of their studies. Many members are first-generations students navigating a male-dominated field so having access to mentors who understand the unique challenges faced by underrepresented groups in STEM would be invaluable for both personal and professional growth.

How would you make a presentation on BBG engaging to your club?
I would make a Built By Girls presentation engaging by combining interactive elements with practical takeaways that resonate with my STEM club. I’d start with a brief, relatable introduction about why BBG exists and how it supports women, non-binary, and allied STEM leaders, highlighting real stories or examples of members who have benefited. To keep it interactive, I’d include polls or quick discussion prompts about challenges we face in STEM, encouraging club members to share their experiences. I’d also showcase actionable resources from BBG—like mentorship opportunities, skill-building programs, and networking events—so attendees leave with something tangible they can use. Finally, I’d tie in a short activity, such as a mini goal-setting or resource-matching exercise, to make the presentation hands-on and ensure participants feel personally connected to BBG’s mission.

What STEM Organizations are you a part of?
I’m involved with several STEM-focused organizations on campus. I’m the Treasurer of African Americans in Health, where I help organize programming and resources for students interested in healthcare careers. I’m also a member of Keck Prep and the Trojan Honor Society, both of which support students pursuing medical and health-related fields. Through these roles, I engage with peers in STEM, help foster community, and provide guidance for students navigating pre-health pathways.
