Interview Questions
JOVA
Business Development Intern (Health Food Startup)

How do you usually keep track of tasks, follow-ups, or deadlines when things are moving fast?
I typically organize tasks based on urgency. For example, easy tasks that must be completed first will be pushed to the top of the to-do list, while harder, more time consuming issues can wait. In the past, I have had a team working with me to accomplish easier tasks, allowing me to work on harder projects.

Tell us about a time you helped something run more smoothly, or solved a problem on your own.
As the Vice President of the FAU gymnastics team, I organized our very first home competition with registered gymnastics judges and other collegiate club teams. For many weeks, I had to prepare a budget, ask for donations, reach out to these judges and other teams, plan the entire day, and train volunteers. This was a huge event with many moving parts that I was able to execute smoothly by delegating tasks to my committee members, but also by communicating with each person.

What excites you about this role and working with JOVA?
JOVA seems like a great brand that is working towards creating a healthier lifestyle for young adults who are always on the go. Not only does the brand promote whole foods that are nutritious, it makes it accessible and easy to make. I am most excited to learn more about how retail sales work and help this company grow.
